Viansa '21 Carneros Sonoma Altura Santo Giordano Primitivo

Bright inviting aromas of blueberry, blackberry, and cocoa are mirrored on the palate combining with notes of vanilla and sweet oak with a hint of cedar on the finish. This lush wine expands once tasted with a rich entry that is balanced by a backbone of acidity and medium bodied tannins. Try this wine with braised lamb with red wine and mushrooms or eggplant parmesan.

These grapes come from the Santo Giordano Vineyard just south of the Viansa Estate and originally planted by Sam Sebastiani and Jordan Smith. The Primitivo is planted on a north-east facing slope that the morning sun hits. The moderate even ripening produces grapes with great color and robust flavors.
